Compact Uncooled LWIR Cores

MicroCalibir

The latest advances in the integration of our in-house 12 µm microbolometer pixel technology with a deep-ADC ROIC circuit have resulted in the development of the small and lightweight MicroCalibir™. This compact, low-power uncooled thermal camera platform features the smallest VGA IR core module on the market making it ideal for OEM drones, handhelds, helmet-mounted and vehicular integration products.

Novel ROIC Design

MicroCalibir has a novel ROIC design which results in a 1000°C intra-scene temperature range at a sub-40mK NETD. Its pocket-sized 21 x 21 x 12 millimeter core offers the latest Size Weight and Power (SWaP) optimization for this type of LWIR imager, with very high dynamic range. These cameras can also reach very low, sub-30mK, NETD levels by utilizing user selectable advanced noise filtering algorithms.

The MicroCalibir platform delivers high-end thermal capabilities and accuracy and can be configured by resolution, field of view, and frame rate to deliver optimal performance in applications such as UAVs, security and surveillance, outdoor recreation/personal vision systems, firefighting and many more.

Now Available in a Shutterless Version

MicroCalibir cameras and cores are available in QVGA and VGA resolutions and a variety of lens options. Its modular design allows for different interface options, for today and for the future.

MicroCalibir is now also available in a shutterless version, which provides improved Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) as it measures only 21 mm x 21 mm x 12.9 mm with lens mount and electronics boards and weighs only 10 grams. This enhances SWaP optimization without sacrificing NETD -sub 40mK levels or image quality performance, making it ideal for applications where each gram of weight is crucial for saving on battery life and for fitting into imaging system designs where space is tight and interrupted images a problem.
