Teledyne e2v is bringing Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography (SD-OCT) to the next level with the OctoPlus™ CMOS line scan camera family, a platform for OCT and general spectrometry which enables wide 3D images and functional imaging. OctoPlus combines high speed, easy alignment, high signal-to-noise ratio, easy Camera Link or USB3 interfacing and customizable processing, all at an attractive price point.
Typical Applications Include:
• Retinal disease diagnosis - for early detection of age-related macular degeneration and glaucoma
• Cornea surgery assistance - to ensure maximum treatment accuracy
• Endoscopy - for laser surgery monitoring
• Dermatology - for early skin cancer diagnosis
• Non-destructive testing - for solder/LCD/LED inspection and characterization of polymers.
OctoPlus Overview
Teledyne e2v's research and development into CMOS technology and how to combine low noise and high-speed capabilities has resulted in the development of OctoPlus, a family of line scan cameras for OCT. They have a specially designed pixel architecture that improves sensitivity and reduces signal roll-off to increase image quality by several dB vs state-of-the-art CMOS cameras, especially in deep structures. They also offer A scan speed rates that exceed the limits of existing OCT CCD camera technologies.
OctoPlus provides a cutting-edge OCT solution for current and future generations of clinical technicians. The cameras deliver superb image quality, resolution at high speed (which improves field of view) and excellent axial resolution, all of which enables more precise and accurate diagnosis for improved patient care.
Facilitates OCT Evolution
64 combinations to perfectly fit your application, with the same mechanical form factor
Supports OCT Application Development
From very high speed and high sensitivity to cost efficient models, supporting your OCT application developments
Improved Power Savings
50% smaller volume and 75% power savings versus Teledyne e2v’s previous OCT camera generation
A Line Scan Camera Dedicated to SD-OCT
High Sensitivity and Low Noise
Teledyne e2v works in close collaboration with foundries and has developed a specific pixel and patents to extend standard silicon performance into the NIR region. This has resulted in OctoPlus, a dedicated line scan camera which benefits from several CMOS technology advantages, including power reduction, speed, and improved integration without any trade off on sensitivity.
