Teledyne DALSA to showcase new IGZO-based X-ray detectors at IDS 2023

5th September 2022

Teledyne DALSA is pleased to exhibit at IDS 2023 where they will present their recently introduced Axios Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide (IGZO) X-ray detectors together with their premium line of Xineos CMOS-based detectors. The exhibition takes place March 14-18 in Cologne, Germany.

Teledyne is especially excited to be part of the 2023 edition as the IDS exhibition celebrates its 100th year. Teledyne’s full dental imaging X-ray detector line-up will be on display in Hall 11.2, booth T028.

Designed and manufactured entirely by Teledyne, the new Axios IGZO X-ray detector series is based on innovative IGZO technology, and a proprietary imaging chain that makes use of the highest performance components. Engineered to deliver an unprecedented balance of performance and value, the Axios product line addresses the needs of the most demanding real-time dental applications.

Yves Kessener, Senior Manager, Business Development commented: “Whether you need to complete a cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) 3D-scan to prepare for an implant treatment, or a panoramic or cephalometric 2D-scan to check dental anatomy, the high image quality performance of the Axios detectors will enable better diagnosis of medical anomalies and better procedure outcomes, which results in reduced treatment costs.”

Visitors to the booth will also be introduced to updated versions of the Xineos CMOS X-Ray detector series, offering industry-leading  image quality to serve the most challenging low-dose 2D cephalometric and 3D cone beam computed tomography applications. The Xineos product line provides ease of integration and performance stability for dental imaging system OEMs and enables improved and earlier diagnostics for patients – at lower dose.

Combined with Teledyne DALSA’s 2D Image Reconstruction Library, users can expect consistent image sharpness within a wider range of patient shapes and sizes, a wider focal trough across the full dental arch, lower patient dose and improved workflow efficiencies by reducing the need for retakes. The technology is based on the reconstruction of a volume of tomographic planes through the patient anatomy, and the synthesis of a single 2D panoramic or cephalometric image delivering an ultra-sharp representation of all relevant clinical features. Every time.
