Retiga CCD Family

This CCD Family includes the R6, the ELECTRO, the LUMO and the MicroPublisher 6, a offering a range of CCDs designed for documentation, electrophysiology, long-exposure and color imaging respectively. These cameras are fast, sensitive CCDs designed for microscopy and scientific research.

Large Field Of View

The Retiga R6, Retiga LUMO and MicroPublisher 6 all delivers a large 16 mm field of view designed to increase throughput and maximize the amount of data captured in a single frame. Image larger samples or increase throughput by imaging multiple cells at once by taking advantage of a larger field of view.

High Resolution

The Retiga R6, Retiga LUMO and MicroPublisher 6 present small 4.54 µm pixels in a 6 megapixel array to maximize the resolving power of your system. The small pixels provide highly detailed images across the imaging plane, which allows for the highest resolution when using lower magnification objectives.

MicroPublisher 6: Color and Fluorescence Imaging

The MicroPublisher 6 delivers highly accurate color images using a Bayer filter array. This CCD camera is also capable of performing high quality fluorescence imaging, a typically challenging task for a color camera. The high quantum efficiency and low noise of the MicroPublisher 6 make monochrome fluorescence imaging equally possible.

Retiga ELECTRO: Advanced Technical Features

The advanced technical features of the Retiga ELECTRO were designed to empower electrophysiologists to image without exogenous noise that pollute recordings. This is accomplished by coupling regulated fanless cooling and external grounding with FPGA-based intelligent features to correct defective pixels. Thanks to a finblade design and advanced software solutions, the Retiga ELECTRO is designed with electrophysiology in mind.

Retiga LUMO: Advanced Technical Features

The advanced technical features of the Retiga LUMO were designed to perform long exposure time experiments by coupling deep cooling with FPGA-based intelligent features. Defective Pixel Correction (DPC) and Dynamic Dark Frame Correction (DDFC) correct hot pixels and remove background for high quality images over difficult long exposures and an ultra low noise readout mode enables exposure times of up to 60 minutes.
