ProEM 1600x400

Model: PRO-1600x400BX3
product image

The ProEM 1600 EMCCD cameras are the most advanced spectroscopy EMCCD cameras on the market, featuring Teledyne Princeton Instruments’ exclusive eXcelon®3 technology, provide the lowest etaloning in the NIR, and enhanced QE in blue and red. These cameras feature a high-speed Electron Multiplying (EM) mode to capture fast kinetics as well as a normal CCD mode with very low read noise for precision photometry. The ProEM: 1600 cameras are deep cooled using either air or liquid, while the all-metal, hermetic vacuum seals are warrantied for life – the only such guarantee in the industry. Both models feature the latest Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) interface to allow remote operation over a single cable without the need for custom frame grabbers.

ProEM EMCCD Overview

The ProEM® is a high-resolution, back-illuminated EMCCD with exclusive eXcelon™ 3 sensor technology providing high sensitivity within the UV-NIR range while reducing etaloning. With spectral rates of up to 20 kHz and single-photon sensitivity, the ProEM is ideal for low-light-level applications such as hyperspectral Raman imaging and single-molecule fluorescence.

Advanced Frame Transfer

Uses frame transfer architecture which eliminates the need for a mechanical shutter, permitting continuous readout of an image or spectrum

EM Gain Calibration

Utilizes a built-in reference light source providing once-click gain calibration ensuring consistent performance over camera lifetime.

Low dark current

Deep cooling of up to -90 °C allows long exposure times
