The PyLoN 256 deep cooled. CCD spectroscopy camera is available in two varities. The PyloN 256E is a front-illuminated CCD with open electrode architecture that improves sensitivity over conventional front-illuminated devices, with no etaloning. The Pylon 256BR is back-illuminated CCD with deep depletion. It provides high QE in the near-IR with minimal etaloning.

PyLoN Family Overview

PyLoN® cameras are setting the standard for sensitivity and flexibility in scientific spectroscopy. Cryogenic cooling delivers ultralow dark current ≤1 e⁻/pixel/hour. Flexible CCD sensor architecture supports multiple readout ports to adapt to low signal and high dynamic range experimetns. PyLoN sensors are also featuring Teledyne's patented excelon technology to eliminate fringing and maximize sensitivity.

Dual amplifier redout design

High sensitivity amplifier reduces read noise for weak signals, and the high capacity amplifier offering increased effective dynamic range

Improved linearity

Provides exceptional read noise performance below 1 MHz, a constant baseline for multiple exposure and long integration time applications.
