Quantum Communication

Quantum communication is a field of quantum information science that utilizes the principles of quantum mechanics to achieve secure transmission and processing of information. While classical information systems rely on bits to encode and transmit information, quantum communication harnesses quantum states (such as superposition or entanglement) to encode, transmit and decode information in a fundamentally more secure manner.

These systems make use of quantum key distribution, quantum teleportation and quantum cryptography to create secure networks, as well as applications in a potential quantum internet, or even quantum sensors for metrology.

Our spectrometer and scientific camera ranges are well used worldwide for the investigation and development of quantum communication networks, both through high sensitivity and high-speed imaging, as well as patented astigmatism-free spectroscopy.
