Can 32-bit applications communicate with cameras on 64-bit operating systems?
Last Revision Date: 3/28/2016
Applications built using the 32-bit versions of the following SDKs:
-
- Spinnaker SDK (all versions)
- FlyCapture SDK (version 1.8.1.13 and newer)
- Ladybug SDK (version 1.4.0.1 and newer
are able to communicate with cameras that run on 64-bit operating systems.
Applications built using the earlier 32-bit versions of FlyCapture and Ladybug SDKs do not communicate with cameras that run on 64-bit operating systems. In order for those 32-bit application to run successfully on a 64-bit system, the application must be rebuilt and compiled using the 64-bit libraries of these SDKs.
We support and recommend compiling 64-bit applications with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 or later.
